The Town of Elizabeth has graciously allowed the Parker Radio Association to install a repeater site at their water tower property. Several club members volunteered their time to not only install the antenna and associated repeater equipment, but to provide some facility maintenance as well. A painting party ensued – along with some site cleanup – the site looks fantastic. We were in need of a repeater in the Elizabeth area, as the local terrain blocks access to our mountain repeaters. The new repeater (to be on the air soon) will be UHF 448.525 MHz, -5 MHz offset, with a PL tone of 100 Hz. 

At our monthly face-to-face meetings, members share their expertise on a wide range of topics. In August, Tom – NIØL delivered an exceptional presentation on solar energy and amateur radio.

The PRA Elmer Team hosts an Antenna Analyzer night. Elmer Nights are a fantastic way to dive deeper into the world of amateur radio!

PRA members sure get around! Terry – WB3EVZ travelled to New Zealand for a 3000km bicycle tour from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island. While there, he was able to meet up with fellow PRA member Ray – NØKEG/ZL1KEG near Aukland! Great to see you guys!
