At the heart of the Parker Radio Association’s success is something deeper than radios, antennas, or repeaters — it’s teamwork. Whether you’re a new ham just learning how to key a mic, or a seasoned operator exploring SDRs and digital modes, we all grow stronger when we learn together.

Teamwork is the engine that drives our education program, Elmer nights, and build sessions. It’s what turns questions into conversations, and curiosity into confidence. When one member shares their experience—whether it’s tuning an antenna or programming a radio—everyone benefits. We’re not just passing along knowledge, we’re building a culture of support and enthusiasm.

Ham radio is a technical hobby, but it’s also a human one. No one has all the answers, but together, we have a lot of them. Every project we tackle, every contact we log, and every antenna we raise is an opportunity to work side by side, learn from one another, and grow the PRA community.

So next time you’re at a meeting, build night, or just chatting on a net—ask a question, offer help, or share a story. Because when we teach together, and explain the ‘why,’ we learn together. And that’s what makes the PRA truly special.

Remember: Have Fun, Play Radio and Keep the Squelch Loose.
