Our very own PRA Elmer Team builds a custom antenna tilt-over hinge mechanism for a club member’s upcoming tower installation.
New Repeater Frequency! – September
The PRA has a new coordinated VHF repeater frequency pair! Dirk – N2PDQ and Mike – W9CN made the trek up to the Mestaa’ėhehe Mountain repeater site to reprogram the Motorola MT-2000 repeater. Dirk performed the reprogramming operation, while Mike tuned the new duplexer, which they installed at the same time. The antenna was tested using an R&S SA/VNA with its directional power sensor. The antenna tested good with a VSWR of 1 to 1.08, and a return loss of 27.34dB. Also shown are VNA screen shots showing the mag/phase plot of the duplexer cavity tuning. The new frequency pair is 145.250 (144.650 std offset input), with a 123Hz PL tone. Great work guys!
Elmer Team Antenna Installation Assistance – September

Second Annual PRA Jeep Outing – September
The PRA returns to Devil’s Canyon for the second annual off-road get together. Devil’s Canyon is in the Arapaho National Forest, which is recognized as US-4400 in the Park on the Air program.
Squaw Repeater Maintenance – July
The repeater group made it up to the Squaw – Mestaa’ėhehe Mountain repeater site. Projects included installing a new battery backup system, installing a new D-Star repeater, and performing various maintenance tasks.
Field Day! – June
The Parker Radio Association’s annual Field Day festivities. Family, fun, food, and friendship. In addition to playing radio, there was an antenna building party, a raffle, and even a Multi-Tool competition.

The PRA had a great showing at the Adams County SwapFest. Many deals were made and bargains were found.
