“Serving others in promoting amateur radio in the community and providing the training and support required to become an amateur radio operator. We will develop, enhance and maintain radio systems suitable for providing communications for the benefit of the community…”

Part of the Parker Radio Association’s Mission, is to “serve others,” and to “provide communications for the benefit of the community.”  When the Denver Area Council Boy Scouts ARC had a need for a power-supply for their soon-to-be-installed repeater, the PRA responded.  Sid Hughes, K0SCH, Trustee of the Denver Area Council Boy Scouts Amateur Radio Club stated, “The Power Supply will allow the Club station to establish a UHF amateur band repeater at the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.”

Since the PRA’s founding in 2014, it has supported several Boy Scout events in showcasing amateur radio capabilities in the Parker, CO area, as well as its 2015 Jamboree. The PRA is also active in general amateur radio training and testing on a monthly basis.
