3/15 Meeting – D-Star Intro & A Slice of Pi

dstarintrorasp_pi

Be sure to mark your calendars and join us this Tuesday, 3/15, for the PRA Monthly Meeting.  We will meet at Southeast Christian Church in Parker, located on Jordan Road (between E-470 & Lincoln Avenue), in Room 233. (This is at the Church itself, not the smaller Church offices).  We gather between 6:45PM – 7PM for a meet-and-greet, followed by our general business meeting, and finally our monthly presentation.

We have a lot of exciting news to cover this meeting including our D-Star Repeater Status, the building of our XReflector, D-Star University, Field Day, and much more.  This month, with the expressed interest from our year-end survey, we will be presenting on the basics of D-Star by showing Part 1 an excellent video that was done at Dayton Hamvention in 2015.  Also, many have jumped in with both feet on acquiring and building their own D-Star HotSpots using Raspberry Pi micro-computers.  If you have built one of these recently, and you would like to show off your work, feel free to bring in your Raspberry Pi Hotspots for some well deserved bragging rights and kudos.

Newly Licensed?  New to the Area?  Getting back into Ham Radio?  Feel free to come down and be welcomed by a vastly diverse group of Hams that enjoy having fun, playing radio, and keeping the squelch loose.
