In true Parker Radio Association fashion, we had a very successful demonstration of amateur radio capabilities at the Parker Police National Night Out.  The team was able to demonstrate emergency power set up via solar panels, HF voice, HF digital, DMR (Mototrbo), and D-Star capabilities.  Many interested visitors were amazed at the evolution of ham radio and were intrigued by how easy it was to make a long distance contact, proven by John, N4SJW, who was able to work a station in West Virginia on 20M via PSK31, with a wire on the ground, and 5W of power.  Talk about the magic!

Many, many thanks to Paul, AC5S, John, N4SJW, Patrick, KT1GGR, Dirk, N2PDQ, Dick, K8ZTT, Sorcha, KE0CKY, Kathryn, and Wayne, KC9AWX for their efforts in showcasing our Organization and what amateur radio technology can do to serve the community.  Job well done, gang!
